Gaming News - March 2006
Redwood City, CA (March 7, 2006) - Electronic Arts today announced
that Burnout Revenge is now available at North American retailers for the Xbox
360. The game is rated E10+ by the ESRB and carries an MSRP of $59.95.
From EA:
The flagship version of Burnout Revenge and the franchise’s debut on
next-generation consoles, the Xbox 360 version of the game delivers an all-new
suite of online features and explosive content to complement the game’s stunning
high-definition graphics and audio.
Burnout Revenge adds two new major online features for the Xbox 360: Live
Revenge and Save & Share. Live Revenge tracks gamers’ relationships with
everyone playing online, creating real-time rivalries among strangers and
keeping vendettas running with friends and enemies. The new Save & Share feature
allows gamers to record replays of their most spectacular crashes, share them
with their friends and post them online. Gamers can also go online and browse
other players’ shared clips and recommend their favorites.
In addition, Burnout Revenge adds 10 new crash junctions, dozens of
completely re-worked tracks and cars built from the ground up to crumple, rip
and tear in the most violent, spectacular crashes ever seen in a video game.
“High-definition graphics and audio are a given for Burnout Revenge,” said
Alex Ward, creative director, Criterion Games. “Our focus with Burnout Revenge
was to go beyond the eye-candy and deliver next-generation gameplay, taking
advantage of the Xbox 360’s powerful Xbox Live experience.”
Burnout Revenge will release under the EA brand and was developed by
Criterion Games in Guildford, UK.
