Sunnyvale, CA (March 2, 2006) - RedOctane today announced the
European release of Guitar Hero for the PlayStation 2.

The Guitar Hero bundle will be released in the UK in April 2006, priced
£49.99 (including Guitar Hero SG Controller). Rollout throughout Europe will
follow shortly, with dates and timings to be announced.
Developed by rhythm action veteran Harmonix, Guitar Hero is a phenomenon,
which has picked up a stack of awards since its debut in November 2005. Awards
it has received include: "Best Offline Multiplayer Game 2005" and "Music Game of
the Year 2005" from IGN.com, "Best Soundtrack 2005" at the Spike TV Videogames
Awards. Recently it picked up five awards at the D.I.C.E. Summit's Interactive
Achievement Awards including Outstanding Innovation in Gaming and Family Game of
the Year.
The guitar peripheral - based on the classic Gibson SG guitar - was created
by RedOctane exclusively for Guitar Hero and enables gamers to play along to
over 30 rock tunes - including 17 fully-licensed tracks made famous by artists
such as Ozzy Osbourne, The Ramones, Jimi Hendrix and many more - as they advance
from rock star wannabe to stadium guitar gods.
