Paris, France (March 8, 2004) - Ubisoft and Alliance Atlantis today
announced an exclusive licensing agreement for Ubisoft to publish games based on
the television series CSI: Miami for the PC. This new CSI game is slated to
launch worldwide on PC for Winter 2004-05.
From Ubisoft:
Developed by 369 Interactive, CSI: Miami will follow the format of Ubisoft's
successful CSI: Crime Scene Investigation game series. Players will solve a
number of complex cases working with the stars of the show. Investigation
includes using high-tech forensic tools to find the evidence, as well as
interrogation and puzzle solving.
"We will incorporate the same attention to detail that made the CSI: Crime Scene
Investigation games so popular in the US and Europe alike," says Tony Van,
Executive Producer for the CSI series of games. "We look forward to taking
everything that makes CSI: Miami unique as a series and infuse it into our
game."
Ken Ross, Vice President and General Manager of CBS Consumer Products, declares,
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has gone from television phenomenon to video
game phenomenon, and CSI: Miami is poised to repeat that success."
Jennifer Bennett, VP Merchandising and Licensing at Alliance Atlantis, adds,
"Ubisoft did an all-around terrific job with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and
I look forward to working with them to build on that success with the CSI: Miami
game."
CSI: Miami is a fast-paced drama inspired by the top-rated series CSI: Crime
Scene Investigation that follows a South Florida team of forensic investigators
who use both cutting-edge scientific methods and old-fashioned police work to
solve crimes. CSI: Miami debuted in September 2002 to an audience of 22.8
million viewers to become the most watched new show on television. Most
recently, CSI: Miami won Favorite New Dramatic TV series at the 27th Annual
