Far Cry preorder pack is now available in stores.

Anxious Far Cry(tm) fanatics can get an early cure for "island fever" with
the launch of the game's action-packed pre-order crammed with exclusive new
content and in-game goodies. Far Cry is Ubisoft's(tm) highly anticipated action
shooter, featuring a lush tropical setting seething with hidden danger at every
turn. The Far Cry pre-order is available now at EB Games and GameStop locations
nationwide.
"The Far Cry pre-order CD is the perfect distraction to keep fans busy for
the final two months before launch," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing
for Ubisoft. "If the one-million-plus download response to the single-player
demo is any indication, stores will need to brace themselves for hungry shooter
fans looking to snatch up this pre-order while supplies last."
When the single-player demo was launched online earlier this month, websites
were deluged with gamers wanting to download the next great action shooter. To
date, the demo has racked up more than one million downloads worldwide. The
massive 500 MB demo is the centerpiece of the Far Cry pre-order, packed with
enough content to keep the most voracious fans happy until the game's launch in
March. In the demo, players find Jack storming a beach and making his way up to
a massive communications satellite dish set atop a vast island filled with dense
jungles full of highly trained mercs. The demo showcases Far Cry's critically
acclaimed, proprietary CryENGINE(tm), its huge game environments, deadly A.I.,
and the longest view-distance ever witnessed in a first-person shooter - all
features destined to become benchmarks in the genre. Players will experience an
unprecedented level of immersion as they uncover the game's many intricacies and
unbelievable attention to detail.
Additionally, the pre-order includes the exclusive Far Cry Trip Planner CD,
an interactive compilation of Far Cry screenshots, artwork, trailers, and cool
content you can't find anywhere else. The Trip Planner features the official Far
Cry trailer, an exclusive, previously unreleased trailer showcasing all of the
jaw-dropping, action-packed sequences players will experience within the game.
