Published by THQ's ValuSoft division, Paws & Claws Pet Vet delivers an
entertaining gameplay experience for animal lovers of all ages. The game is
rated "E" for everyone and is now available at a suggested retail price of
$19.99.
Paws & Claws Pet Vet marks the brand's debut on the Nintendo DS, adding to
the success of the franchise made popular by Paws & Claws Pet Resort, released
for the Game Boy Advance by ValuSoft in 2006. Paws & Claws Pet Vet utilizes the
newest technologies in handheld gaming including the unique voice command
feature of the Nintendo DS. Animals within the game will respond to numerous
voice commands, which in turn will increase the speed of horses, calm pets
visiting the examination room, etc. In Paws & Claws Pet Vet, players will become
the owners of their own Pet Clinic, where it is their job as the veterinarian to
nurture and love all of the animals and nurse them back to health. Players will
start off treating rabbits and guinea pigs, and as more skills are acquired,
learn to treat cats, dogs and horses. Paws & Claws Pet Vet allows players to
choose from more than ten different kinds of animals to nurse back to health
from more than 20 different ailments. Players will build the vet clinic into a
thriving business including responsibilities such as purchasing food from the
store and medicine from the pharmacy, looking into alternative homeopathic
remedies and investing in further education by obtaining additional credentials
from the vet academy. Players can also take out loans from the bank to pay for
the continued expansion of their pet clinic.
