Gaming News - January 2005
Paris, France (January 25, 2005) - Nevrax, developer of the online
role-playing game The Saga of Ryzom, announced today the beginning of an in-game
contest.
“We hope that this skill-based competition will enhance the player’s enjoyment
of Ryzom and further the exploration of Atys,” said David Cohen-Corval, CEO of
Nevrax. “This challenge adds an extra level of competitiveness for knowledge,
something we haven’t done before."
From Nevrax:
Beginning Friday, January 28th, the contest will take place on Wednesdays,
Fridays and Sundays at 11:00 p.m. EST on the North American server and 7:00 p.m.
Paris time on the European servers, and is scheduled to run for one month.
Players can participate while in game using a special chat channel. A riddle (or
trivia question) will be asked in the special “Contest” channel and the first
player to answer correctly will win a brand new high-end BFG NVIDIA GeForce
graphics card (limit one per household). Runners-up will receive Ryzom gear. The
winners for each event will be displayed on the Ryzom web site along with the
correct answer.
About the Saga of Ryzom
Three generations ago, the proud civilizations of Atys perished in the Great
Swarming, when hordes of Kitins swept from the Prime Roots and wrought war and
genocide. Now it is time to reclaim your heritage. Join forces with thousands of
others, master the arts of sorcery, war, and tradecraft, and re-forge the
destiny of your people. The secrets of the past have been lost, but The Saga of
Ryzom has just begun.
