launch of the single-player demo of Far Cry.
"Speculation on the game and the true capabilities of its engine has run
rampant within the gaming community, but seeing is truly believing," said Tony
Kee, VP of Marketing at Ubisoft. "We are confident that the release of this demo
will prove beyond a doubt that Far Cry belongs in the upper echelon of FPS
gaming."

The single-player demo offers an action-packed glimpse into the Far Cry world
showcasing all the technically-advanced gameplay and jaw-dropping scenes from
the full version of the game. Featuring a huge beach-laden level, the demo
proudly showcases Far Cry's critically-acclaimed CryENGINE, huge game
environments, deadly A.I., and the longest view-distance ever witnessed in a
first-person shooter.
As of 9AM on January 21st, gamers can experience firsthand the incredible
power of Far Cry's proprietary CryENGINE. The CryENGINE powers the game's
non-scripted AI allowing players to play the demo again and again utilizing
different tactics and strategic approaches to the level each time. Far Cry
redefines the meaning of re-playability. Players will experience an
unprecedented level of immersion as they uncover the game's many intricacies and
unbelievable attention to detail.
