Gaming News - January 2002Redwood City, CA (January 22, 2002) - Electronic Arts today announced that Medal of Honor Allied Assault has shipped for the PC. From Electronic Arts: Set during the most trying years of the war, 1942-1944, Medal of Honor Allied Assault gives players a sense of the courage it took to survive the landings at Normandy and drive into the teeth of the Third Reich. Players will assume the role of Lt. Mike Powell, member of the famed 1st Ranger Battalion, as he travels from the battlegrounds of North Africa, to Omaha Beach, and finally, thrusting into the heart of Nazi Germany itself. As with the original Medal of Honor, the producers sought council from numerous outside sources to make certain the game is as historically authentic and realistic as possible. EALA continues to work closely with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society to ensure Medal of Honor Allied Assault reflects the ideals and integrity of the prestigious Medal of Honor. In addition, Capt. Dale Dye, who served as technical consultant on the original Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor Underground, again worked with the Medal of Honor Allied Assault team to certify the authenticity of the game. Medal of Honor Allied Assault for the PC carries a "T"(Teen) rating from the ESRB and will be priced at US MSRP $49.99.
