Redwood City, CA (January 8, 2002) - Electronic Arts announced today that the Black & White expansion game, Creature Isle, has gone gold. The game will be released in the US on January 21, the rest of North America on January 22, and in Europe on February 1.

Set on an island inhabited by an alliance of creatures with no masters, players utilize their own creature to complete challenges and enter their mystic brotherhood. Player creatures will need to independently teaches a new generation of creature, a small chicken-like creature named Tyke. Players will be faced with some of the same types of choices as in the original game, and must decide whether to raise Tyke to be gentle and loving, or destructive and malevolent, based on his upbringing of reward, punishment, and example.
