"There are various postings in the Xbox section of "Fable" regarding how to
make lots of money. The simplest and easiest way, however, is to trade for it. I
call this technique "Return-Buying."
Merchants set their prices according to how rare an item is. If the merchant has
one emerald (for example), it will be expensive. If the merchant has 10
emeralds, they will be cheaper. Since you can buy and sell from the same
merchant, repeatedly, you only need a huge stock of a particular item the
merchant will buy. Expensive items offer bigger returns when you sell them.
Example:
Let's say you find a merchant who buys wedding rings.
Step One -- Buy ALL the wedding rings he has in stock. You may lose a little
gold in the deal, but that won't matter.
Step Two--He now has no wedding rings in stock, so he will buy wedding rings at
a higher cost, perhaps 1000 gold. Sell him all 50 wedding rings you have. You
may gain a little money, but you're just getting warmed up.
Step Three -- The merchant now has many rings, and now they're on sale for 450
gold. Buy all of them back from him at reduced cost.
Step Four -- The merchant is again out of stock, and he'll take those 50+
wedding rings off your hands for 1000 gold each. Sell him all your rings, again,
and make a profit of 27,500 gold.
Step Five -- Keep buying the merchant's entire stock of your chosen item and
selling it back to him until you get bored. Don't forget to buy your stock back
before you leave!
At one point, I was return-buying piles of gems for about 330,000 gold each
transaction, and a return-buy only takes about ten seconds to do. You can easily
make over 1 million gold per minute." - Khalaq |
