Galactic Civilizations: Altarian Prophecy - Review
System: PC
Shop: Buy It Cheap · Get The Guide

Index · Review · Your Reviews · Your Rating

There are other minor tweaks and additions to the game, only one of which really has an affect on gameplay. You will now be able to set rally points for ships which will make things easier for you as you gather your ships and fleets together in the game. This has more of a convenience effect on play than anything else, though. You’ll also notice minor differences here and there such as a more streamlined foreign policy screen, but again, nothing major that will alter the flow of the game.

Whether or not you should get Altarian Prophecy really boils down to how much you enjoy playing campaigns and scenarios. If you never touch them, then there aren’t enough changes and additions to the game to justify its cost. If you like campaign games though, you’ll have fun with the new Altarian campaign and may even enjoy building your own campaigns with the new editor.

In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated: 80%.  If you buy Altarian Prophecy to play the new campaign you’ll be happy with it, but otherwise don’t expect major enhancements to Galactic Civilizations from this expansion.

System Requirements:  Galactic Civilizations; Pentium III 600; 128 MB RAM;  8 MB Video RAM; 600MB Hard disk space; 4x CD-ROM;  Mouse.
