"To the far southwest of the map along the lower edge of the big open grassy
plains, there is a very long, narrow path that leads up along a stream. You can
get here (after passing through a few towns) very early in the game, although it
is populated by things like forest golems, ghosts, dark elves, and flying
gators. If you survive, at the end of the very long path is a big open area with
a huge dragon, which guards a big pile of "cursed treasure" that has numerous
spots to be 'opened' to generate an item. The dragon is extremely deadly, and
low level characters will pretty much die if caught in its fire breath. However,
the dragon is extremely slow. If your character is speedy, you can lure the
dragon to the very bottom of the clearing (near where you came in) and then
quickly run all the way up to the treasure and loot it without the dragon
following you back up. Now, save your game, and then re-load it. The treasure
re-sets! Use spots to the left and right of the clearing to dump unwanted items
(don't go too far south, or the dragon returns) and keep saving and re-loading
to loot the treasure pile as much as you want. Each time you loot a pile nets
you 1000 gold and a random item, including the occasional set item or artifact,
and is also a great way to stock up on healing potions. At low level you may not
be able to use most of the things you find right away, but you can just head
back to town and stick them in your chest to save for later. If you get past the
dragon, you can do this for hours to get as many artifact rings, suits of
platemail, unique swords, etc as you want." - Believer
