"Don't give the Chinook too much gas when taking off. It causes it to flip and blow up. Take off gradually and hold that thing steady- its a 40 ton baby carriage" - Edna

"If you're flying a jet, you can reload your payload 2 ways. Either fly by very close to your airstrip (that will only reload about 1 round of missles/bombs) or fly very slowly and land the plane on the runway (which is VERY tricky) One problem with this is that it's very hard to slow down once on the runway. You may end up crashing into the hangar. If you exit the plane while it's moving it may help to slow it down faster. Then you can taxi it towards the hanger and reload." - Frankenator

"If you fly the Cobra-helicopter alone, and would like to fire heatseeking missiles, press 2 when your in high air, fire off the missiles, and quickly press 1 again to stay in air. Its very effective and i use it a lot" - [FFM]C. Vester

"1: For jets, use a joystick. Preferably with a throttle. Makes it MUCH easier, plus landing is easier.

2: NVA: In Flaming Dart and Hastings, dont destroy the US jets....eject from you jet, which will explode on the ground, and steal their jets! It works best with the F-4 Phantom and its heat-seeking missiles. The US will need to think twice on shooting. PLUS it allows more of the NVA to be in jets, and less US.

3: For God's sake, people, HIT Q. This activates the 3D map (or if you dont trust me, just go to options and enable it). What does this do? It shows who is on your team (infantry are arrows, each vehicle has a different icon) and at what distance. This is on the main screen, now the mini-map. It helps a LOT when flying, seeing as you cant tell who is who. With 3D map enabled, you will never shoot down a friendly who stole an opposing sides's jet again. And yes, this happened to me. I was NVA, I had stolen a Phantom, and a person in an NVA jet, who from the 3D map I could tell was on my team, tailed me and tryed to shoot me down. Moral: Use 3D map, dont TK (TeamKill)." - VashTheLostSoul
