If you are in search of good Entertainment that would last you a long time. Years in fact. I believe Eve online is the one (not to pass up!). My advise to you is to go to Eve on line's site and read, read, and read. There are countless avenues to search for information such as Back story, hundreds of short stories, news items, forums galore. Hundreds if not thousands of knowledge threads to read and learn about what Eve online is and what to expect when You finally choose to except the free online trial. Don't stop reading though, because you need to know how to develop your character before you actually choose what you want to be in the Eve game. Such as Race, Bloodline, and education. Things that you choose at the character building process will help you excel at what direction you want to take at the beginning of your game experience in Eve.
So, If you are currently playing something else and you want something that offers an array of gaming experiences. It is free to search Eve's knowledge base and forums. You may search for articles on the Eve game, you may read plenty of negativity about it however,I suggest going to Eve's forums and knowledge base to get your own opinion. I believe that most negative commentary is based on ignorance. I read these comments and feel that the source is either immature or the type to jump in too quickly. Sure, you may be grief ed (poded)or some other unpleasantness shortly after starting the game. If you've read the forums and such beforehand, You'll realize that it is part of the game. Don't get made, get organized by enlisting into a group or organization that will promise to protect you from pirates and such, while you build your own ability to fight back. Then develop the roll playing aspect of the fun in game.
I have based my tip on my experience in reading Eve's materials for three months before I chose to become a paying player of the game.
