While using your Nazgul to defend your base, begin expanding your base and
getting your resource collection going. You’ll want to build a couple of towers
to help with your base defense and a Fortress of Mordor. While doing this send
your Lord of the Nazgul east until you locate the Dragon Skull Place of Power.
This will lower the cost of your upgrades.
The next order of business is to concentrate on building up your defenses.
Upgrade your Fortress, build unit producing structures, and start cranking out
an army. Attacks will come at you from two directions, so be sure to monitor
your defenses at each attack point and keep them up to strength. Keep cranking
out units and Slavemasters to support them.
When you’re ready to move out, go west until you find a road and then take it
north. You’ll come to a tower guarding a base but you’ll want to avoid attacking
it. There are a lot of Rangers in this base and you’ll want to avoid taking most
of them on head-on. Circle the base until you see a lightly defended approach
and then attack. Try to take the Rangers on piecemeal while avoiding a full-on
fight.
After you destroy the base take some time to reinforce and strengthen your army
before heading for Minas Ithil. The next base that you encounter can be taken
out by the same piecemeal strategy as before. Replace your losses after you
eliminate the base.
Continue on and capture the Place of Power on your way east to the next base.
This base is tough, so make probing attacks and try to build up your Fate
Points. Once you have enough, summon a Balrog and let him loose on the base.
Concentrate on the towers and strong units such as Rangers with your Balrog’s
attacks. Next concentrate on the unit producing buildings so that the enemy can
not replace his losses.
Replace your losses and build up your army before pressing on. You’ll soon come
to the Tower which is defended by a large army and supporting towers.
Concentrate your firepower on taking out the towers, and then concentrate
attacks on individual enemy units. It may be counterintuitive, but it is better
to concentrate on thinning the ranks of the weaker units and healers before
taking out the big boys.
Now it’s time to corrupt the Tower. The best way to do this is by having your Slavemasters place their posts as fast as possible near each of the Gondor
flags. Be ready to fend off attackers from the Tower who will be released as
soon as a post is placed. Defend the posts and the Tower will eventually be
corrupted. With the Tower corrupted, it’s time to move your Lord of the Nazgul
to the entrance of the tower to capture the Palantir.
Now to win you will just need to destroy the remaining base on the map. The hard
part of the level is over though, and you can dispatch the remaining base under
the weight of your armies.
