"well it's an awesome expansion pack i must say! however i believed it was
too short. just as i thought i was getting into the meat of the game... it ends!
quite a disappointment. but i must say... the 3 levels were great. i can see
they're running out of ideas for missions but i must comment they should ad
saved the wicked first level for the opening of a full sequel if they were gonna
make it because holy macaroni it was a thriller! hehe :P (finished the game in 3
hours:( )" - yozo
"MOH Spearhead arrived as a Christmas present from my two sons, whom I feel
were simply using me as an excuse to con their mother out of money for the game.
Anyhow, the main thing is "I got it!!!" After having such fun with MOH "Allied
Assault" I managed to resist the temptation until after lunch to load the game.
After loading the game I commenced upon my missions. Having set it on easy, I
commenced to play. The first thing I noticed was the improved graphics which was
fantastic. The vehicles seemed to be crisper as were the figures. The next thing
was the availability of weapons and stuff!!! It was great to jump in behind that
Quad 20mm and blast away, I only wish the game would let me tow it around.
All in all looking good. The only critics at this time was that the game seemed
a little hard for the "easy" setting. My youngest son kept getting flogged on
the "easy " setting, something that didn't happen in MOH 1.
I kept telling him that he would figure it out and to resist the temptations to
look for cheats. Thos e words would echo in my mind a short time later.
Everything was going fine until The snow came. Sort of sound like the Germans in
Russia. Then after finding the medic I went to tackle the German troop and
panzer assault.
After 5 hours and heaps of coffee I still couldn't get through the task of
stopping the troops and the panzers. I simply can't believe this is the "easy"
setting.
I'm normally a very calm person but this section of the game drove me closer to
using a cheat than any game I gave ever played. Don't take this the wrong way,
but I play these games to relax and have a bit of a challenge, but this was
driving me nuts.
I really think the games guru's need to look at this one. The majority of people
play games for a bit of a challenge and fun. I think the "Easy" setting is way
to hard and makes people go away from the game. I would also like the designers
to think about going away from the "entire story line" concept. Just have
scenarios that can be entered and allow people to play either German or Allied.
As a Game my rating is: 9/10
Complexity: 9/10
Fun: 7/10
I don't suggest this for casual computer game players. It's pitched to high." - Greg T
