"The attention to detail is incomparable. This is the best straight-up FPS
game i have played.
Not impressed with your ahhh, errrr 'review.'
Being miffed at things like default key settings, which ofcourse is easily
changed, is a hollow attack. Consequently I will no longer rely on this site for
useful information.
More from your 'reviewer':
"The single player campaign is further hindered by some serious interface
issues. "
- that the "wasd" isn't a default keyboard setting - BFD! So you change it!
"Luckily the key layout is completely configurable ..." I suspect ahhh, er
'luck' had really very little to do with it. That you would suggest so - gives
the viewer insight into a rather jaded mind. You do a disservice to all.
"Enemy attacks often follow the same script: notice player, charge player, stand
in one place shooting at player while player kills you. "
- Well no shiet. Gee i am not surprised were you? I move around, jhump, crouch
and otherwise pin my opponent to a bad location. These strategies helped to keep
me alive. Next time you see someone, try to move a little, maybe you will live.
If against me nothing will work, you will die.
"The saved game interface is a little screwy ..."
- Agreed.
About the only good thing you had to say was the ability to look at your own
feet.
LOL. Sorry they didn't stroke your companies ego." - Anonymous
"Most of the bugs addressed in this review have been fixed, such as saved
games booting you back to the menu screen. There are more maps available for the
game now, and lots of high speed servers for all game types. I like the tactical
play, it's like counterstrike because you can only die once, and are spawned
with full armor and enough ammo to do damage but not enough to be all that
inaccurate. It took me a little while to get used to, but Gore is really fun for
the low price I payed ($20). There are mods out that make you jump really high
if that's what your into, as well as one that slows the pace down.
A decent review, but I don't think the reviewer gave the multiplayer enough
play; tactical wasn't even mentioned." - ClasixGamer
