"don't use heavily armed soldiers in the desert. They will get tired." - Sir Squashalot
"Once you start getting into the game and start owning a lot of the map
(around a third or a quarter) you'll find its very tedious when they all keep
revolting. I find that if you want to keep somewhere safe, you should always
have 2 units of urban militia (forgoten their names, urban somethings with
pikes) and one unit of archers. Not only will this probably keep the people
happy, but it's an okay army to have that could probably take some weak rebels." -

"You will always... always win if You are Byzantium.... With 1 condition, You
defeat the mongol hoards in the 1230's Before this, conquer as far as Egypt (for
the money) and take hungary.
Hungary is Vital as its on of the few places that offer both Weapon & Armour
upgrades.
Then a few hundred of the Varangian Guard will defeat your foes, irrespective of
their numbers!" -
The Spank Inferno
"Choose highland clansmen, they fight like Aussies and always win like in WW1" -
Aussies Gold Hunter
"when launching a crusade/jihad move through the least amount of
provinces as possible so you do not gather rabble in your army and lose your
elite troops" -
Richard the lionheart
"ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE FAR EAST WHEN THE GOLDEN HORDE EMERGES.
THEY EMERGE IN 1230." -
OPIAN KING
"I don't understand why you all making a big FUZZ about the papacy if
they batherd you in anyway just put around 8 GRAND INQUISITERS in there land
-depend on the amount of there armies- and keep them all the time, and you'll
keep reading that the papacy fell and rose every 2 or 3 turns....
To avoid rebels put att least 4 units of peasents in each province, you might
need to increase them in places like PORTUGAL becouse they rebel alot....
When you're excomunicated and you provinces ZEAL is high, avoid wars, otherwise
you'll have a lot of rebels and returning fractions..." -
