"It is easy to dominate the game with a hero that has minor and major skills
in Nature magic and a preferred race of ogres. The trick is to research the
spell tentacles which will give all of the 'monster' class units in a group
multi attack +5. This mean that each monster will attack all the members in the
enemy group with each attack. What makes ogres the best race for this strategy
is that their lowest level unit, the humble bat, is very cheap and fast to
produce and is classified as a 'monster'. Bats also fly which makes them fast
and easy to move they can also hover over water or mountains for safety.To make
this strategy even more effective take the first two warlord upgrades in city
improvements that add unit hitpoints, this adds 6 hitpoints to each bat for a
total of 14 meaning they can get in more devastating multi attacks. Then start
using warlord level ups for the archmage skill to improve mana. Flocks of
upgraded bats can devastate whole groups of powerful monsters but it does take
some time to recharge mana. After a few level of archmage you can start using
the wind spell to give your bats an extra 14 movement points. " - di
