"This game is terrible. Sierra seems much more realistic than this product.
It looks like a console game ported to the PC, which is bad news for true sim
fans. And on top of that, the key features that were to set it apart from Sierra
(Career mode among them) are not included. EA better release a big patch (read:
free) to include the missing features or I am done with EA racing games." -

"The best tip I can give is "DON' T BUY IT"
EA has decided to screw the PC gamer again and leave out Career Mode and
Lightning Challenge for us, the people that kept them in business before console
games where even thought of." -
Stone
"I seriously love racing and this is the best yet with my new force feed
back steering wheel and pedals this game is maxed out i give it a ratin out of
1-10 a 50!" - Chad Hillyer
"This game is horrible compared to the sierra racing games. A lot of stuff
that is supposed to be there is not. You are also supposed to be able to
download the new car skins. There has been none since Tony Stewart's
championship one and we're already in the new season. This is the first and
probably last EA racing game I ever buy. It's not very realistic." - GordonFan
"I have NASCAR Thunder 2003. I play it every now and then, but I will
probably never play it again when I get NASCAR Racing 2003 Season by Sierra.
NASCAR Thunder 2003 has great physics and great graphics, but not having special
features such as completely creating and editing paint schemes for your car is a
real bummer. Also, when you try to watch a replay, you hardly ever get the view
you want. On NASCAR Simulators by Sierra, you can pick from tons of views, so
you can always get the most exiting perspective. And why are all the beer logos
and Mark Martin's Viagra car not available? Dale Jr's sponsor's not Dale Jr. You
don't see a champion like Rusty Wallace racing with his name on the hood of his
car. Why can't I save my game in the middle of a race? Am I expected to complete
500 laps all at once? Well, at least there's a pause button. The car's damage is
another story. I slammed into a wall head on at 165 MPH and the front of my car
buckled up. It's supposed to explode. You hold in the clutch and put the pedal
to the floor. Any normal engine would blow up. Instead, it stops at 8500 RPMs. I
barely scraped the wall and my front tires came off the ground. I have the
computer opponents on 100% difficulty and there's a caution every 5 laps at
Atlanta. When everyone tries to slow down for the caution, 10 more cars spin
out. Did you ever ride the wall in turn 11 at Infineon? Try it at 140 MPH. If
you miss your pit on pit road and you try to get to it by backing up, you'll be
disqualified for going backwards. You are the only driver that has a pit crew. A
pit crew with bad animation. It would look way better if they let you keep
in-car view, so all you could see was the jack man run across in front of you.
Besides all of what I just said, NASCAR Thunder 2003 is an okay game. I'm just
so upset that NASCAR 2003 Season is Sierra's last NASCAR Simulator. It just
seems like Sierras gives you more ‘freedom' than EA Sport, with tons of more
features." - Jason Yates, NASCAR fan
