"I have a few tips for you.
This is for when you're in need of resources fast, playing with a CPU as your
ally, and don't want to use any of the resource cheats. Simply bring up the chat
box ("enter" key) and type
38)
This will tell your ally to donate resources to you, usually in groups of 500.
Repeat if necessary.
------
Speaking of resource cheats, here you go:
forcecarbon
forcefood
forcenova
forceore
Will give you 1000 of the given resource for each time you type it into the chat
box. Select it ("shift" + <-), hit "ctrl + c" to copy it. Then hit "ctrl + v" to
paste it. This greatly speeds up the process, because you can hit "enter, ctrl +
v, enter" over and over again very quickly.
------
Other cheats include:
1.) tantive IV: (get the tantive IV blockade runner)
2.) simonsays: (get simon the killer ewok... I love this one)
3.) that's no moon: (get the death star- beware! Don't use this in your base
when you are under attack, as it will destroy a lot of your stuff too!)
4.) galacticupheaval: (get the Decimator)
5.) imperial entanglements: (get an Imperial Star Destroyer)
6.) forcebuild: (instant build- like "aegis" in Age of Empires II)
7.) forceexplore: (reveal all map terrain)
8.) forcesight: (remove fog of war)
9.) tarkin: (destroys all enemies)
10.) skywalker: (instant win)
------
Tip #3:
Take advantage of unit strengths and weaknesses. It can mean the difference
between a crushing defeat and an amazing victory.
------
If you can get a lot of resources (namely food and carbon), don't mind taking a
lot of casualties, and can make it to near post-tech level 4, you may want to
look into the Republic. In tech level 4, with all upgrades towards unit
production speed researched, the Republic can spit out a trooper every 4 seconds
or so PER BARRACKS. That means with 4 barracks, you could have division of 60
troopers in just 60 seconds! 60 soldier in just 1 a minute?! That's a huge swarm
to deal with!
Keep in mind that you will need a LOT of food and carbon to make this work. But
if you can...
Also, the Republic gets added nova from holocrons, and they have all jedi
upgrades available. (In other words, they're easily one of the best jedi
civilizations.) They're a solid civilization... if you can LAST to tech level 4
and get lots of resources, that is.
------
When playing on a map with water or rivers, DON'T neglect your advanced cruisers
if you can get them. They have great range and amazing power in groups. However,
make sure you give them a decent escort of about 5 - 10 frigates and 2 - 5
anti-air destroyers.
------
When playing against the Rebel Alliance, or ANY enemy that has reached tech
level 3 for that matter, be sure to build a good number of anti-aircraft turrets
around your base. Their power is amazing when it comes to beating aircraft, and
1 or 2 can absolutely decimate a division of aircraft. They will also deal with
an air cruiser very efficiently. However, place a normal turret next to them, or
they'll be overrun by ground forces.
------
Speaking of aircraft, if you reach tech 3 before your opponent does, fly some
air transports in and drop a couple divisions of troopers, mechs, and heavy
mechs inside the enemy walls. You won't need to worry about anti-air turrets,
but you may want to look out for anti-air troopers. This also works with
fighters... fly in and start harassing!
