"Buy it, but after patch 1.05 (patch 1.01 out now).
Lots of problems with the game. Fun, but very frustrating to play. The game was
obviously rushed to delivery, unfortunately with poor quality control, and
little or no playtesting.
Check out the bug & support forums at Paradox before buying." - Raspascus
"The game is excellent, granted Paradox pushed it out quick for the holidays,
but with the latest 1.02 patch they addressed many of the bug issues. From one
who loves the WWII theater for gaming, this game rocks.
Also, I would note that any not familiar with Paradox, please take note, they
are one of the "best" companies out there when it comes to listening to their
customers wants and needs. The extent of the work that was put into the last
patch for customer satisfaction, well.... my hats of to the guys at Paradox" - Valmion
"Well, patch level 1.03b and it is getting better. April for the next patch.
Not that it needs any to be playable.
It isn't anyone's cup of tea though. It does require a Micromanager, but that is
what I have always been. Basic argument Vs AI was that Germany had it easy.
Basically you can bump up the AI and it DOES fight well. However...
You think AI is easy? Go to www.roadtowar.com and look for the Stony road
scenario. Or you could try here http://217.18.70.66/ for the latest version.
In that you must be GOOD to win playing as Germany. For all the other nations,
well the bigger the better.
Basically I would call it a Panzer General with CIV crossbreed. And I love it. I
am giving it 90%" - Greek one
"I found this game at a used game store and didnt even know what it was. I
started playing it and found it rather difficult but then I caught on very
quickly, I was playing as germany, and i conquered much of the world, and
annexed a number fo countries made puppet states and made alliances with many
countries as well i found the game to be very addicting and fun imagination was
a lot to do with it too." - Overkill
