"I'm actually surprised that I didn't see this tip posted by anyone else. I can't take full credit for it because I got the idea from someone else, nevertheless here goes. So I keep reading how everyone wants to get rich quick, go visit Creeps, go visit the mudcrab, sell this, sell that, blah blah blah. Try this one on for size... First off, you're going to need all of the alchemical gear you can get your hands on (the alchemist in Balmora sells some decent gear, so save some cashola and get it from her -- having a high alchemy skill doesn't hurt at this point either ;)). Now, go to the Temple Shrine in the Wolverine Hall, now I don't know the character's exact name, but when you open the door there is someone right in front of you, turn to your left, walk down the hallway and turn to your right, talk to the guy that is now standing in front of you. I recommends that you "persuade" him (whatever style you like to do that in) so that he really likes you, then barter with him and buy about 150 ash yams and bloats (upon first doing this it could very well cost you around 3,000 gold, depending on your mercantile skill and how much he likes you). Now what you want to do is right click and drop one of your alchemy tools onto your character to open up the alchemy toolset. Choose all of the ash yams and bloat as your ingredients and make keep clicking "create" until you've successfully made about 10 potions (now these are fortify intelligence potions for those of you out there who -haven't- memorized all of the various potion ingredients -- like me), after having made them throw them all back and watch as your intelligence jumps, hopefully, into the hundreds. Now... why stop here?.. Here's the beautiful part... Alchemy is a skill based on intelligence, so after you've made those 10, boost your int., and continue making some more.... Make about another 10-20, throw them back, and make some more. Repeat this process and check out the caliber of some of the potions you'll soon be making. The beauty is that it builds on itself, so before long you'll have an extremely high intelligence that lasts for a really long time (i kinda called it quits when my intelligence hit around the 50k mark with a duration of nearly an hour, that's in real time minutes) . So where's the money come into play? Well, you might notice that these potions your making will very quickly become worth close to the 10k mark (a piece!!) if you keep repeating this process -- now that's easy to sell to the mud crab, sleep, sell again, sleep, etc etc. OK, so that's the quick money scheme... here's how it can be extrapolated for those of you who don't see how this tip will lead to fame and fortune elsewhere in the realm. Do you happen to have a golden saint trapped inside of a grand gem, but don't feel like paying the insane amount of cash for an enchanter? Try upping your intelligence to around 15000 and enchanting whatever your little heart desires... chances are you won't fail even if you don't really have an enchant skill ;). Also, if you want quick levels, if your character has Alchemy as a major or minor skill you will have more levels than you know what to do with in a short period of time... throw mercantile as a major/minor and try chopping off just 1 gold coin on the purchase price of the yams/bloat each time you buy it and your mercantile will shoot through the roof as well. Also, I suggest boosting your intelligence extremely high anytime you make any potion.... gather all the ingredients and spend a wonderful night of alchemy at your local inn making restore health potions that restore a couple hundred points for a minute or so, then take on whatever you want. I hope by now that the full implications of this dastardly little trick have played upon your mind... and I hope that everyone has happy hunting!" - Treasure Hunter in training

"if you find the Boots of Blinding Speed, and use them, you will be made blind, yes this is bad, you cant see where you are going. Just go to sleep for 1 hour and the blindness seems to stop working, although it will still show an icon for it at the bottom. You will continue to get +200 speed until you take them off and put them on again." - disorder
