"Yes, Morrowind is a great looking game.
Yes, there are hundreds, possibly thousands of NPCs, objects, and whatnot. Yes,
The Morrowind world is huge and expansive... maybe too huge. There in lies the
problem. The morrowind developers have airdropped us into this huge world with
out some of the basic navigational aids that made Daggerfall or even Arena
playable. All the interfaces seen like an afterthought in this game. Is this
really what we waited so long for? Yes you can encounter all sorts of NPCs in
Morrowind. But at least in Daggerfall they had a clue if you were nearby the
place you were asking about and they would note it on you map. What happened to
the Quest list they had in all the other games? Morrowind is a great game if you
like to look at pretty pictures and read ( and I mean read alot ).
" - Looks great ... but looks aren't everything
"not far in yet but i think im done with it. play system / control. can get
annoying the way it runs. and i have athalon xp1800 and geforce2/400. too much
work went into graphics/ and not enough for play control." - sonny
"Morrowind has a lot of quests and it can get confusing at times. I guess
that's why they have the strat guide though. But anyway the game has lots of
nice graphics and the controls are actually better on Xbox than PC. If you don't
have a high end Computer and want this game you can get it for xbox if you have
one even if it is a little laggy on Xbox at the really populated places" - Tony5000
"Wow! And seriously people I mean wow! Morrowind is absolutely amazing!
Sure the graphics are nice, but that is really the only the attention grabber -
The third Elder Scrolls is the greatest RPG I've ever played - and believe me -
I'm no novice. When I first got this game, I was really quite skeptical - the
reviews I had read were quite varied and that's never a good sign. But, once I
got past the create your character thing, I was astounded. Literally, you can do
anything. As advertised, you can, "Live another life." This game is real enough
that when you're swimming across a lake, diving for pearls, and a monster comes
from behind you and takes a good bite out of you, you'll let loose a good
scream, but yet artificial enough that that person you killed to get the hefty
bag o' money they were carrying, won't weigh too heavily on your conscience. THE
only possible problem with buying this game is perhaps the slightly annoying
aspect that because of the thousands of quests you can do, there isn't really a
source (that I've found) that you can constantly go to for help on a specific
quest that has you stumped. Sometimes it just gets so dang confusing!" - Kierkegaard
