"I have to say Black and White is one of the greatest PC games ever since
2001. When I was able to get the expansion pack of the game just recently,
things just got better. You get to see things you never saw in the original
Black and White, and you will be faced with challenges you've never done before.
What's better is you are the only god in the whole island, and you can get a
maximum of three creatures on your side, and that includes your pet, his mate,
and his son.
As you and your Creature learn what is going on in Creature Isle, you two will
face challenges you never faced before. You will be able to do trials like doing
a bowling game with a cow, play a real-life board game with an ogre, and save a
bear from it owner. There are around 20 trials in total, and they are all run by
different creatures of different size, alignment, abilities, and strength.
During the game, you and your Creature will be able to take care of a smaller
creature, a chicken named Tyke. Tyke will follow your Creature as an apprentice
and will try to learn things from him. The purpose of this trial is in the end,
Tyke should be able to feed himself, cast miracles, and help your villagers all
by himself, but it will very well be worth it, because now you have two
creatures to help you. Ain't that neat? When you end the game, you may either
choose to keep Tyke, or you may switch to another baby creature if you want.
Since you are the only god or player in the whole island, you don't need to
conquer those two neutral villages out there very quickly. Taking over these
villages is almost like taking another trial, but you will rewarded for being
their new god. It is best to take good care of your villagers, even though you
are probably more interested in taking on the trials. In one of my files in the
game, I kept on trying those trials and not listening to my villagers, and my
alignment was going down, which I didn't want. So, what I honestly did was I
made a new fresh start, and I tried to take better care of my villagers before I
took on the trials and now my alignment is back up. In conclusion, even not
listening to your villagers can result in something you probably don't want,
like becoming an evil god or something like that.
A new miracle has been added into Creature Island. This new miracle helps your
creature to run faster than normal for a limited time. There is a trial in which
you have to race against a tortoise through an obstacle course, and the speedy
miracle is highly recommended for this trial if you want to win.
Allow me to tell you about what I am now in Creature Isle. So far, I do know how
to take on about half of those trials, even though I only got the expansion pack
recently. I got a horse for my creature, and I am one of the good gods. Being
good may not be fun, but I don't mind. I do like the way my temple looks, as
well as my player's hand and the way my horse glows at night with that white
stuff coming out of him. True, I don't even like the way those evil gods look
like, with their temple and all, because they look so ugly and horrid. That is
one of the reasons why I'd rather be a good god, instead. Thank you for
listening to my story." - Karin Mauldin
