"Fantastic! The best D&D game ever." - Saota
"It would be great if they would fix the damn stutter bugs." -

"MadJack nailed it. Wonderful game, when you can play it. Stutter seems
to happen to about 30 percent of the players playing it. There are also numerous
bugs in the code that make game play a real pain. This thing will be great, but
it should be considered a Beta you purchase." - Mutton_Chops
"This is like one of the best games I've ever played. My brother bought
it and I played it a ton there and he let me take it home to beat but then it
didn't work on my computer and i was totally bummed. But I really like that
there are so many places. I am still in the town but theres so much to do. But
one thing i might change is that u can have only one henchman. I mean that is
wacked you gotta have a party of many different people. if u don't have this
game and like exploring and fighting and stuff then get it cause it rocks." -

"Overall:
This game should be considered a very impressive technology demonstration/beta.
The Good:
It is beautiful. The developers did a fantastic job on the engine, and the
graphics are absolutely stunning. The included toolkit is the best I've seen for
creating your own levels/worlds/adventures. Nice in multiplayer mode too!
Awesome interface. Everything is easily accessible if not super fast.
The Bad:
Compared to the other Bioware RPGs of Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, the voice acting is
absolutely terrible. You can actually tell the voice actor is just reading in
many cases. The characters are also very shallow.
The Ugly:
This is why I consider it a waste of money: The game has a stutter problem which
dozens of people have experienced but Bioware has done nothing about it.
Although this is the bug that bothers me the most (and it occurs on many
configurations from P4s to Athlons, from Geforce4s to Radeon 8500s as per the
Bioware support pages) there are also many others... for example an incessant
mouse cursor flicker on ATI cards that hasn't been addresses in the last two
driver updates or game patches (three months), not to mention several engine
related bugs which others on the Bio forum have reported that corrupt save
games/characters, disrupt plot, and break custom scenarios.
Verdict:
Wait for the sequel, or at least another company to license the engine. This is
a box o'bugs that has been patched, patched, and re-patched for several months
now." - Mr. Pete
