The graphics continue to uphold Homeworld's high standards. Ships are
wonderfully detailed and can be given a custom color scheme. Space is not an
empty void, but a kaleidoscope of swirling gasses and nebulae. The 3D animation
is very fluid - you can easily zoom in and rotate the camera around a pitched
battle with nary a frame drop in sight. In short, Cataclysm's attention to
detail and quality of execution together make its graphics great.
Cataclysm continues the Homeworld legacy with a first-rate musical score. The
variety of music evokes feelings of being in the midst of the vastness of space
better than anything since Space Mountain. And its quality music to boot! Not
your typical repetitive pseudo-rocky/techno that you come to expect from
real-time games.
In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated: 90%.
Cataclysm has made some welcome improvements to the excellent original game and
provides more fun with the best real-time space combat game to date.
