"Mafia is truly enthralling from start to finish. I wouldn't like to compare
it to GTA 3 as the time era is completely different but i will do because the 2
share many similarities:
- The freedom that is available within Mafia is simply immense with some
missions requiring visits to the countryside similar to GTA 3.
- The ability to steal a wide range accurately detailed 1930's is fantastic but
unlike GTA i felt that the idea in which Tommy the main character learns how to
lock pick certain cars as he advances thru the game was marvelous.
The voices used for the characters are fantastic and very much contribute
towards their personality. This reminded me of Max Payne and the way voices were
used to create the atmosphere of the story extremely well.
The visuals are great and the story will grab you immediately. If you are a keen
gamer and have a 700mhz+, 256ram+ and a 64mb 3D Card+ machine then this is a
must have." - Tommy
"the no save anytime feature makes the game not worth the play. hard missions
you will have to do over and over again and it will be like work not fun. if the
game would have the free ride option id chunk it down the garbage can.

"Mafia is one of the best games of the year without a doubt, the levels can
be tedious but have a lot of action in them. I've seen lots of mafia movies and
this turned out to be one of the best. And for those people who are havin
trouble with the races you can cheat, its quite easy." - the don lupara
"Games don't get much better than this. This game will be remembered by
gamers for years and years to come. With an involved storyline oozing with
italian warfare, this game is far from boring. You not only get to run around
with guns blazing, but you also get involved with hair-raising car chases and
old fashioned mafia retribution (should I mention baseball bat?) My only problem
with this game is that you could only save the game in certain places, which for
me was quite annoying. Some levels got very hard and it was a bit irritating to
have to be knocked back half a level if I died. But don't let that turn you away
from this game. Even with that minor annoyance, this game still rates best on my
list. Plus, I was able to play this game over and over, purely because I loved
the storyline and characters so much." - Sway
