What you should do it Hades if ur actually sensible. After use all ur food on villagers. Get half on wood and the other on food. Use the food to advance to Classical(Ares, cyclops are great). Use the wood on 15 or so Fishing Ships. At this point you should have no need to have villagers on food. Concentrate on gold and walls. The walls should last until u have a decent army. Then advance to Heroic.(Use Apollo his Passage helps u get around enemies)Build a market first thing.Build a load of Caravans for gold. The only things u need villagers on is wood and favor. Start getting military units around now, and use them for defense only.(There's a good reason)Augment them with some myth units and heroes. Towers are very useful here.Advance to mythic with hephaestus(Plenty vault) Then build a big city with the 2000 or so of each resource you should have if u didnt overdo something. At this point your enemies should think you are very defensive and will not bother to put too many defences on the side facing you. They will be wary, so just collect resources and defenses for a while. Once your enemies seem to stop harrasing you and collecting a large army to overthrow your old defense once and for all, make men like mad. Personally, I like to make 20 archers, 4 cavalry,3 infantry, 2 catapults and 1 villager. Set up a base with the villager and keep a military academy, a stable, a archery range, and a fortress. Train 2 or so more attack squads. Then attack the enemy on 2 fronts. His forces will be split. Now use the third party to destroy the center. you might want to change the numbers and get rid of the villager. thats okay. Use ur god powers once your parties have closed within range. Use archers to pick off units, infantry and cavalry to kill enemies, and catapults for buildings that are shooting all your men. Your Villagers should come slightly outside striking distance and build towers. Myth units for assisting the infantry and cavalry busy attacking the town center. Also bring up reinforcements and use pestilence on your enemies area if you want to win. Use this method to have a sure but slow victory. (Its ideal for a guy who seems invincible.)
