"For me, the perfect combination for attack fighter groups is attack bombers
and cloaked fighters, of course if resources are a problem, use scouts or
interceptors but keep the bombers, they do great damage. Change formations and
tactics often to make your squad harder to hit. Switch to aggressive when your
fighters attack then evasive on their way back from the run, then as they turn
around go to aggressive again." - X-toph
"For the graveyard level, all you need is 20 interceptors, and when i
did it, i only had 8 shot by the autoguns.
Fly them up right over the junkyard, move them until there right on top of the
office, and then fly down, shooting all the autoguns around, and then just go to
the office. It's freaking ez, no having to deal with the dawg or anything." - MIkey
"Minelayer Corvettes are the best investment in the game. Even 4 or so can
cause problems, but if you form a square or X of around 20 you can lay
minefields large enough to lay waste to all but the largest of task forces
before they even engage the ships you're screening behind the minefield. Each
mine is a damage done and they cost nothing. Minelayers will quickly make the
points back in any game.
It's also worth noting they can be used offensively too. Lay 3 X 3 fields
progressively closer to the enemy mothership and you will bait a reaction from
them, since you'll eventually get there. In theory by the time they react
there's already enough mines laid to effectively end any reaction quite bloodyly,
and the sallying force usually provides a "bridge" for the mines to follow
towards the mothership. 20 minelayers backed up by a missile destroyer can wreak
absolute havok for relatively little resources spent." - The Amazing Phil
