"When you start out attack your enemy with lots of militia after you have a
strong economy this way you can refill your ranks. In the feudal age send men at
arms and archers with some scout cavalry. So every time your in the next age
send the upgraded unit or better. Well duh. I mean who would send militia in the
castle age?" - siraltoid23
"On Siege Weapons:
They are useful if used properly
*and what i mean by that is...*
-NEVER EVER EVER fire them with non-ranged infantry in their line-of-fire. You
will a. kill your own soldiers, b. killing your own soldiers kills your defense
(since siege weapons *aside from the scorpion* can't fire short-range), c. um...
ITS JUST NOT SMART!
-LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP (or fire...) Take a look at your enemy's/ies' walls. If
they aren't a solid wall, as in there are no-wall barriers acting as walls (i.e.
trees, water, a nasty wolf that doesn't move and they don't want to kill...),
take them out with siege weapons. The siege onager (or just ordinary onager *i'm
not that sure*) and trebuchet can attack ground. Place the attack ground target
on the trees or just have them kill the animal *which should be dead if you're
doing your job right*. The weapon will wipe out the trees. (Don't bother with
attacking water.)
-ENEMY SOLDIERS RUN when you order a seige weapon (in my case trebuchets and
magonels/onagers/siege onagers) to directly kill it. Instead of chasing them
around and never being able to hit them, have them attack the ground they're
standing on. This works especially well with trebuchets, since one hit wipes
them out.
*remember*SIEGE WEAPONS ARE SUPPOSED TO HELP, NOT MAKE THINGS WORSE.
by the way isn't my spelling and grammar wonderful? - glah
"build loads of castles it will give you a very, very ,very, very, very
strong defense" - wwoof
