The Sims: Livin' Large Review
Can't get enough of The Sims? Well now there is a new expansion pack for the game which adds new characters, careers, and decorating themes for your enjoyment!
This expansion pack expands the available characters, careers, and architecture/decorating styles available in the game. Your Sims will now be able to enjoy careers in music, journalism, paranormal investigation, computer hacking, or just become a full-time slacker. You can also place them in new home with styles that range more towards the fantastic: turn-of-the-century, medieval castle, sci-fi, and Vegas lounge.
Many new objects for your home have become available, including a few with a sense of humor. For example. you can now buy a magic lamp - complete with genie - or a chemistry set that will allow your Sims to make potions to alter their personalities. In addition to these new objects, the expansion pack includes many user created objects and Sim 'skins' (these allow you to change your Sim's look) that have been uploaded to the internet. While these can be downloaded without purchasing the game, it does save you a lot of time and effort.
A must for all hard-core Sims fans, but those who were a bit indifferent to The Sims should not expect any major changes in gameplay. Also, people who are a bit more serious about their Sims, will probably not appreciate the addition of genies and personality altering chemistry sets.
In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated: 82%. While it is convenient that they've included many objects available on the web on this CD, it would have been nicer to see even more new, never seen before objects.
