Civ Wars is a real-time strategy game where you control units and move them to capture buildings and defeat the enemy army. There are no infantry battles, its most likely a roll system as soldiers run at a building to determine who will own the building depending on the defenses of the building. You generate troops in most buildings, and mana from crystal buildings. The mana allows you to cast powerful spells to help you reduce enemy building strength or defend against incoming waves. It sounds very fun and for the most part, this game is a must-play.

While this game shows a lot of promise, it suffers one glaring flaw. The game is pretty much decided within the opening seconds of a match, which is the same for all strategy games, but here you can be stuck in long, hopeless skirmishes. Combine that with the sometimes poor touch sensing of the game and you could wind up frustratingly hitting the restart button often. You have to hold your building and drag the arrow to the target building. Why there cant be a tap and touch system is beyond me, but its beyond easy to not get your first tap to register same goes for sometimes shooting your powers in the wrong spot. Early on, game is pretty cool and fun, but later when the computer sends two enemies who seem to key in on you and not each other, the poor touch sensing starts to become a factor in your poor performance.

There are a few armies to unlock and choose from, and a few modes such as zombie survival. There are a ton of levels, but the gameplay is essentially the same for all. Youll see varied buildings and unit formations. You can upgrade everything from your troops

Like I said, very close to a must-have, but being not too impressive graphically and a touch-sensing issue, you may need to consider how patient you are willing to be. Not a game to play while in a car on a bumpy road, or something for a quick fix, but for a single-player game for the strategy aficionado, its worth trying out.
