Pocket Devil let's you play out your fantasy of tormenting the
eternally-damned. Your tools of the trade range from spikes to skateboards to
the electric chair, with many more at your disposal. It's almost like a sandbox,
except you're limited to a single slab of rock in the underworld with all your
toys and mini-games accessed via a dropdown menu. You simply spawn Mugat2 and
whip them around into or onto the instruments of choice.
The justification for the small price is in the form of the mini-games which
do have leaderboards worldwide or as simple Facebook posts. The best
mini-game is the balloon ride that uses the motion sensors, but beyond that the
mini games don't hold up for long. It's the random messing around with the tools
that makes this app fun.
The MugatYou feature, which allows you to import your own faces onto the
little devils, would make this app well worth the price. But perhaps I missed
where you could pick this feature up. Supposedly it's an in-game purchase for
the same 99 cents as the app itself - maybe it's just not on the iPad.
With the mini-games, random mayhem, and MugatYou for 99 cents, this would be
an excellent little App. Hopefully they keep the updates rolling to make this a
better deal.
