Being a huge fan of Disney and owning a veritable war chest of Disney DVDs, I was overwhelmingly disappointed in Phineas and Ferb, The Daze of Summer, and found it hard to believe this was a Disney offering. The DVD contains five episodes of the stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb finding ways to pass the time through the summer doldrums, all the while with there pet platypus in tow and keeping the world safe from Dr. Doofenshmirtz (as well as their big sister Candace).

While watching this (and let it be noted this is not really appropriate for younger children) I felt like I was in a bizarre nightmare that mixed the Simpsons, The Fairly Odd Parents, and Sponge Bob all in one, and not getting a single one of them right. It seems very much like a failed attempt to get cult status in the alternative cartoon genre. Watching this left me bored, confused about the story, and certainly not very entertained. I would not recommend this to anyone who is not already a P&F fan, and would caution parents to know what their younger kids are watching if this shows up on a little ones wish list.
