Manswers takes 25 questions of the variety that dudes contemplate and discuss
in the locker room and attempt to answer them once and for all. While it
takes a somewhat scientific approach in seeking out the answers, one should not
purchase this DVD with the hope of having these questions definitely answered
once and for all. The answers are played a bit for laughs, so you're never
quite sure if the show wants you to take it seriously or not. One moment
it is trying to show that fake breasts sink in water while real ones float, and
does so quite nicely. Then you'll be watching the answer to the question
of how far you can drop in an elevator and survive, and you'll hear the host
quote a university professor that things accelerate while falling at 30 feet per
second. I don't know what they're teaching at Sonoma State, but the rate
of acceleration while falling is 32 feet per second squared. Some answers
are just plain useless. For example, the answer to how to make a woman
less, shall we say, crabby is to have sex with her. Yeah, she'll love that
response from you. Why don't you go try it and let me know how it works
out for you?
Manswers does have its entertainment value, but it's the kind that is best
enjoyed by a group of guys hanging out with plenty of beer on hand. In
fact, it can make for a drinking game in which everyone has to guess the answer
to the next question before watching it. In any case, it's good for only a
single viewing and is best viewed as a rental.
