Googlepedia is a hefty and comprehensive volume that covers all of the services and applications that Google currently has on offer. The book is written towards the novice Google user, with much emphasis placed on cataloging everything available and the basics of how to use it. Theres not much in the way of tips for power users or creative uses of the tools that Google offers as the foundation for more sophisticated tools and applications. Unless you fit in the small category of users who are complete computer novices to the point where even reading Googles extensive and well-written online help seems to be an overwhelmingly technical endeavor, then I cant think of a good reason why youd want to invest in this book. Google tools are pretty straight-forward to use and as previously noted are quite well-documented, so you can pretty much learn everything the book has to offer after spending a couple of hours on the Google site. There are plenty of books out there that will help you take your use of a technology to the next level, but this is not one of them.
