Talk about truth in advertising. Baby Monkey Going Backwards on a Pig features a baby monkey going backwards on a pig. It's one of those never-ending side-scroller games, and is controlled with two buttons that sit in the bottom corners of the screen - one button makes the baby monkey jump, and the other the pig. The object is to grab the bananas floating in the air with the monkey by jumping, with higher bananas reached by having the pig jump first and then the monkey. As the pig runs with reckless abandon he'll smash through a variety of obstacles and if you don't have the monkey jump while the pig is destroying one of the obstacles he'll be knocked off of the pigs back. You get points for each banana you collect and the game will keep going until the monkey gets knocked off of the pig. You'll then see how your score compares to your other efforts, or you can check out other gamers' scores via Game Center.
That's the entire game ' it's more of a quick time killer than anything else, and your general opinion of these types of endless scrollers will definitely affect your enjoyment of Baby Monkey. As far as these types of games go, Baby Monkey is pretty good. The controls are responsive and when you fail it always feels as if it's your own fault and not due to cheap level design or unresponsive controls. The game is made more enjoyable by its colorful cartoon-like graphics and awesome theme song, which is of course titled Baby Monkey Going Backwards on a Pig and features vocals that continually repeat the game's and song's title. Love it.
