In Short
They could have packaged an app full of the fun facts that they display during loading screens and that may have been more entertaining than this game. Basically, skip this game and get Peggle.

If you want to indulge in an artless, shallow piece of gaming junk, Ball Busters may be for you. To the eyes of the immature, this game may pass as something funny and goofy, but the reality is that this game lacks any creative effort whatsoever.

It starts with the name, and from there you realize the game is a rip-off of the Pong-style game where you bounce a ball off of bricks to break them. If you havent played one of the many old school arcade games like this, you can search the internets for Breakout or Arkanoid and find many free flash games that are exactly the same as this game. What shames and sets this game apart is the dialogue of the faces on the bricks you break, which are stereotypes of urban society. It may be cute to hear Are you loco? the first time, but after 1,000 times it may start to get old. There are other levels and different faces to break, but the look and the style of the game is enough to drive you away. When the graphics arent current and are going backwards to some kind of negative graphics, you may prefer the pixels to be more clearly visible. Never mind the fact that these kinds of Atari-like games have a raw, imprecise feel to their mechanics which leaves no wonder as to why game controls have since tightened up a bit.

Usually I save the end to start bad-mouthing the game, but this time Ill save the end for the tolerable parts of this game. I suppose if youve never played this kind of game before, maybe you will find a bit of fun and can overlook the rest of it. There are a lot of levels, the physics seem honest enough, and there is some skill needed to finish off the levels, but all of these same positives can be said about the other million games just like this one.

Final Rating: 10%
