The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
True RPG fans are not as concerned with graphics as they are with the story,
and the amount of freedom a game gives them to explore that story.
Morrowind delivers such a story, and sets it in an expansive gameworld that
leaves you free to explore the creatures and people that populate even the most
remote corners of the realm. The population of this world has its own
politics, conflicts, and beliefs, and the game does a very good job of using
this to bring its world to life. Morrowind is packed with gameplay, and it
will take you many happy hours just to explore its world, let alone pursue the
game's storyline.

Neverwinter Nights suffered at its release from the weight of its own
hype. With so much advance billing and ballyhoo, it became impossible
for the game to live up to expectations. However, there is a pretty
darn good game hidden under there, and its extensive tools that let you
create your own adventures has lead to a thriving internet community which
provides a lifetime of new experiences for the game. |
