Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime completes the Metroid sweep of the Nintendo system awards this
year. The game is a quantum leap forward as it moves the series from a 2D
side-scroller into the world of 3D first-person shooters. While such a
shift can often cause irreparable damage to a franchise, in this case the series
is made so much the better. The graphics are fantastic, making full use of
the GameCube's hardware and Metroid Prime delivers the gameplay to match.
In addition to the main storyline, the game provides plenty of secret areas to
explore and content to unlock. Plus, connect the game to a Game Boy
Advance running Metroid Fusion and you can unlock some additional gameplay.
If you own a GameCube, then buy this game; you will not be disappointed.
