The concept is similar to that of Cut the Rope. Your goal in this game is to
tap the momma bird so that she will pick up food for the chicks in the nest. You
are allowed to tap the bird as many times to 'kick' her around the screen, but
more taps will possibly lower your score. Your pitfalls include electric lines,
spikes, and a second bird you control.
Though the concept sounds simple, some levels are deceptively difficult and
require you to juggle two birds into two separate nests when there are only
three worms to go around. Your taps send something like a shockwave from the
source and you can cause both birds to move with one tap if they are close
enough. Navigating through timed areas like a wheel or electric gate is
difficult enough with one bird, much less two and taking into account that one
needs to be out in front. The dual birds are color-matched to their nests, so
arriving at said nest with one less or one extra worm will deprive you of one of
your three possible stars. This kind of real-time challenge offers its own kind
of satisfaction upon conquering, but the stress may not be welcome by all. There
is a reason that escort quests are so hated in games, and this app is basically
kick-dribbling a ball through a field of death.
The aim was to make a charming, hard-to-put-down killer app that crosses the
realms of Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, but the cartoony graphics look a little
too dull to be eye-catching. It could be bird-fatigue or that this game simply
lacks an addictive kick. It's fun, you can't go wrong by picking up this app, or
you may forget about it very quickly.
