Artix Entertainment celebrates International Talk Like a Pirate Day this Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 at 7 PM EDT in all of its major games including AdventureQuest Worlds, EpicDuel, DragonFable, MechQuest, AdventureQuest, and HeroSmash.
Talk Like a Pirate Day is a real holiday where the AE staff can go all out with pirate puns, pirate slang, and pirate gear. And AE players know how the staff loves puns!
New players first logging into any of AE's games this Wednesday will notice that it's not just the gear, quests, and monsters that have received a nautical makeover. Most of AE's veteran players look forward to this pun-filled parody of a holiday each year, forming whole groups of pirate-garbed adventurers to battle against the scurviest enemies the team can throw at them. (Many will continue this way for several days after because... well, pirates are just that cool!).
