Maplers looking forward to learning more about Mihile, the Knight of Light, in Nexon America's MapleStory, will now be able to explore Maple World as this one-handed sword-wielding Cygnus Knight character. The newly released "New Dawn" update has introduced Mihile, complete with a tutorial, storyline, and level cap of 200.
Players who choose to play as Mihile will learn more about his humble beginnings and how this Knight of Light was revealed only during the darkest of times. Mihile started off as an overworked stock boy at Mr. Limbert's General Store, known only as "kiddo." Long suspected as more than an ordinary boy, Empress Cygnus and her faithful follower Neinheart tested him by pitting him against her minions. As he easily defeated the Empress's minions, his identity became more apparent. Empress Cygnus explained to the boy that his father was a good warrior of tremendous power that had been defeated by a great evil and was not able to return to him. With every intention to return to his son, this warrior of light left him with Mr. Limbert, but was tragically defeated. She then named the boy, "Mihile," which means "Born of Light" in honor of his fallen father, Chromile, the Knight of Light. The gracious Empress and Neinheart brought the young Mihile back with them to Ereve.
Starting off with unique beginner skills, players will be able to utilize their one-handed sword and Soul Shield, which grows as the character gains experience and grows. The Soul Shield is automatically upgraded with each job advancement. Unique to Mihile, once players reach level 70, they can pass down the "Knight's Watch" skill to another character on the same account and in the same world, preventing them from being knocked back by enemies.
In addition to this new playable character, MapleStory is holding various Mihile events. Players will enjoy an extended Renegades Festival, along with more Lucky3!3!3! activities and other Mihile-specific in-game events during the month of September.
