Are you ready to show the world your Halo gaming skills? Halo aficionados can
sign up to compete in the Halo 3: ODST "Melee in Manhattan" tournament created
by GameStop, the world's largest video game and entertainment software
retailer. The retailer will hold in-store tournaments in more than 2,200
stores across the country on the latest installment of Halo - Halo 3: ODST.
The tournaments, which begin on Friday, Oct. 2, give players the opportunity to
test their skills one-on-one with other contestants to determine each round one
winner. The second round takes place on Friday, Oct. 9, and the third round on
Friday, Oct. 23. Sixteen players from the third round will advance to the
finals event, Halo 3: ODST "Melee in Manhattan," which will be held in New
York in December. The overall tournament champion receives $5,000 cash.
All tournament game play will take place after store hours due to the game's
mature rating. Contestants must be at least 17 years old to participate.
