Considered to be the band of the future for breaking the established norm, Belanova is one of the most popular bands in Mexican history. Formed in Guadalajara, the capital of the Mexican state Jalisco, in 2000, the group consists of vocalist/songwriter Denisse Guerrero, programmer/keyboardist Edgar Huerta, and bassist Ricardo Arreola. Belanova has enjoyed tremendous success in their native Mexico with their debut album, “Cocktail” scoring a number one hit with lead single, "Tus Ojos." Their follow-up album, “Dulce Beat” was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2006 for Best Pop Album (by a Duo or Group) and produced the hit single "Por Ti" which logged a record-setting 29 weeks atop MTV Mexico's Top 20 chart. In May, Belanova will be the featured Artist of the Month on Zune Marketplace. Belanova’s latest album, “Fantasía Pop”, was recently released in September of 2007 and is currently nominated for Latin Rock/Alternative Album of the Year at the Latin Billboard Music Awards.
