2K Sports today released details on their Third Annual Pontiac Virtual NCAA Final Four Tournament.

It’s that time of year again - college basketball fans from around the country convene in one city to support their favorite college team at the 2008 NCAA Men’s Final Four. It also means that it’s time for the Third Annual Pontiac Virtual NCAA Final Four Tournament featuring College Hoops 2K8, where gamers experience the college basketball action before it happens, and predict the last one standing team that will be crowned champion.

For the past five weeks, the best college basketball gamers in the United States have been competing in ranked college basketball matches of College Hoops 2K8 exclusively on Xbox LIVE for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The four finalists have risen above more than 8,500 opponents through 200,000 games played online for the opportunity to take their college basketball video game skills on the road. The four finalists will compete in the Third Annual Pontiac Virtual NCAA Final Four in San Antonio, Texas this Saturday, April 5th. While competing against one another on stage in front of a live audience, each participant will represent one of the remaining teams in the Final Four. For ultimate bragging rights, the winner of the Championship Game will be crowned the undisputed top College Hoops 2K8 player in the U.S. and will drive off in a brand new 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT.

What: The Third Annual Pontiac Virtual NCAA Final Four Tournament Presented by 2K Sports

The finalists are:

  • Roland Fuller from Alorton, IL, age 23, playing for Kansas
  • Kevin Ryan from Sayreville, NJ, age 20, playing for Memphis
  • Jonas Parker from Pawnee, IL, age 20, playing for UCLA
  • James White from Webster, TX, age 20, playing for North Carolina

Where:

The Pontiac Garage
South Alamo Street (between Market and Durango)
San Antonio, Texas

Event: Saturday, April 5th--11:15 a.m.

  • Two Final Four matchups with gamers playing as each of the Final Four teams
  • One Championship Game to determine the winner of the Pontiac NCAA Virtual Final Four
  • The winner of the Championship Game will receive a brand new 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT
