The Championship Gaming series teams placed as follows at The LANfest2K7 Counter-Strike: Source tournament:
1st place: CGS’ Los Angeles CompLexity
2nd place: CGS’ San Francisco OPTX
3rd place: CGS’ New York 3D
5th/6th place tie: CGS’ Chicago Chimera and CGS’ Carolina Core

LANfest2K7 marked the first reunion of the CGS’ United States squads since the United States (Region 1) season ended in July. The Carolina Core and the Chicago Chimera will represent the United States at the CGS 2007 World Championship in December when the league’s top twelve teams from around the globe vie for the $1 million dollars in prize money and the ultimate title of World Champion.
